Custom Tee Sealed With Love

I've made several cards using the Custom Tee stamp set, so I thought I would share this one with you today.

The card base is 10.5cm square, so makes a cute sized note card, and is very quick and simple to make - no colouring, just the use of red ink and card!

Sadly both stamp sets, and the framelits are on the retiring products list, so will only be available until 31st May while stocks last - some retiring items have sold out already, so if you love these sets head over to the Stampin' Up! online shop to take a look.

No Bones About It Custom Tee

Today I'd like to share with you a card made using a couple of Stampin' Up! retiring items - the Custom Tee stamp set and the Tee Shirt Builder framelits.  Personally I am gutted that these are going as they are great fun and you can make super cute cards for kids and teens (and probably just about any one!)  I'm happy to say the dinosaur set I have also used here is staying!

Chimanlals - Mumbai, India

Hi, well here are some photos from the other paper shop that I visited while I was in Mumbai - Chimanlals.

Quite a different range to the Bombay Paperie - this shop sold more paper and card sets, some unusual shaped gift pouches, some paper embellishments and a small selection of sheets of paper to buy, and was less expensive.  I bought a few bits (more than you can see in the photo - oops!), with most things in red, and with elephants on them!

DIY Cutting Ironing Board

Today I thought I would share a quick DIY project with you - I made my own cutting mat with an ironing surface on the back and I love it!

Its a large board to get a decent size area for cutting fabric on with a rotary cutter, so I found a cardboard box, opened it out and cut it slightly smaller than the board.  I used some fabric glue spray to adhere two layers of fusible fleece and a layer of fusible thermal foam.

I then covered this with some gorgeous fabric from the Indian Garden range of prints - I have a little stash of this, and its the first time I have been brave enough to cut into it!  LOL!  The photos don't really do the fabric justice as it really is a beautiful purple with turquoise and some bright pink which I thought went well with the pink of the cutting board.

I used some glue gel to attach the fabric covered board to the mat (I attached it to the cm side as I like to used inches) and left it for a few hours to dry.

Then hey presto, your own cutting mat with an ironing surface!

Fabric - Big Paisley on Purple from the Indian Garden range
Adhesive - Crafters Companion Stick & Stay for fabric, Pinflair glue gel
Interfacing / Wadding - Pellon fusible fleece, Threaders thermal fusible fleece
Cutting mat - Siesta 23.5" x 17.5" (markings are 23" x 17")
 

Bombay Paperie - Mumbai, India

Hi there!  Well having not posted in... well forever!  I thought I would take some time to share some photos from my recent trip to India - paper, yummy food, elephant trinkits and fabric galore!  Today's post is all about a visit to the Bombay Paperie store, where you will find a colourful array of beautiful handmade, block printed paper.

I bought a selection of paper, and yes... you guessed it, I have not used it yet - it is just too pretty to cut up and use!

Each sheet was around £1 for a wrapping paper sized sheet, you can also buy cards, gift bags and paper flowers.  So, if you are ever lucky enough to visit Mumbai and you love paper like I do, then take a little time to visit this lovely store.
